The multi-purpose DAC facility is located in the heart of downtown Denman Island at 1111 Northwest Road. The DAC gymnasium, lounge, commercial kitchen, and select furniture and kitchenware are available for rent. Rental income helps us to keep the lights on.

The Gymnasium
The gymnasium has a wood floor and is used for badminton, table tennis, pickle ball, Qi Gong, Nia, and many other sports activities and social events. It is also available for rent for celebrations, memorial services, public gatherings, fundraisers, and for private instruction for self-managed fitness and sport classes.
The gymnasium is 223 square metres / 2400 square feet in area and has a fire regulation capacity of 200 people. Chairs and tables are available for rent. The gymnasium can also be rented in conjunction with the commercial kitchen.

The Lounge
The lounge is smaller than the gymnasium and used for community group meetings such as the Denman Island Writers’ Group, crafting groups, committee meetings, and for self-managed classes of all types. It is available for rent for private parties, community dinners, and fundraisers. The lounge can also be rented in conjunction with the commercial kitchen.
The lounge is 67 square metres / 716 square feet in area and has a fire regulation capacity of 70. A variety of table/chair configurations are available.

The Commercial Kitchen
The DAC’s small commercial kitchen is typically rented in conjunction with rental of the gymnasium and/or lounge.
The kitchen is equipped with commercial appliances that include a dishwasher, six-burner stove, refrigerator, and coffee maker. It has a full selection of preparation, cooking, and serving dishes, and service for thirty guests.
Chafing dishes, coffee urns, beverage dispensers, wine and beer glasses, and other equipment are available for rent.
